OKAY TEMIZ MAGNETIC BAND IN FINLAND Okay Temiz is not a recent discovery like those we made thanks to the recent popularity of world music and ethnic sounds. If anything, the Turkish drummer has been one of the pioneers of this movement for at least a quarter of a century. His music encompasses not only the rhythms and melodies of his immediate cultural heritage, but also elements from all over the world in order to release a primeval force. What sets apart the music of Okay Temiz is its originality and Okay's conviction in defining his place among the wider jazz scene: a musician that transcends all bounds playing music with no limits. Despite that fact, Okay's music possesses both a strong identity and infinite reserves of emotion. This album is one of his best and most complete and we are all able to find a part of our own self inside it.
