Okay Temiz has so far applied several rhythm training programs for children. These programs were sometimes aimed at spastic or handicapped children, and sometimes held as multi-targeted programs to introduce the sense of rhythm to young children.

After the earthquake which had a deep impact on the Marmara region, especially Izmit,

Temiz organized a range of therapeutic programs for the people who were psychologically ravaged by the disaster. As usual, those who were mostly struck by this calamity were the children. Okay Temiz’s therapeutic rhythm programs started shortly after the earthquake and which still continue were successively supported by institutions like Banvit, Nokia, and the Turkish Foundation of Education Volunteers.

By playing the darbuka and introducing the children to different musical instruments, Temiz is trying to help them get rid of their fears and uneasiness and give them the energy for a fresh start through the feeling of rhythm.
